Most Angelinos will tell you that the high cost of living in LA has little to do with beautiful and stylish homes, rather that "when you live here you are paying for the sunshine." Los Angeles' average temperature is 78 degrees making it like no other place in the continental United States and thus having a profound affect upon the fashion of Angelinos. With both Fall and Winter occupying a combined 60 day timespan fall fashion is all but a small portion of LA style and as a result Angelinos often opt for "sophisticated casual" when it comes to their personal style.
LA has taken high quality denim, t-shirts and light, breathable fabrics and made them a staple, while accessorizing them with light knits, jackets - either sporty or a feminine piece such as one my favorites, the Zii Ropa kimono inspired sleeveless, linen overcoat. Lite layering and both subtle accessories such as "Dean Accessories" and pronounced accessories such "Ariana Boussard -Reifel" have become one of the fundamental elements of LA STYLE and Fashion. It can be said that looking your best is one thing but sweating while you're do it only works when your at home with the one that you love or lust and if you're really lucky both... lol ; ) ! Lite and and flowing materials, which move in a manner that subtly reveal the elegance of woman's curves shows off the mastery of the most gifted and intuitive designers worn by Angelinos. The subtle elegance is universal and can be observed wether your are in Venice, Highland Park or East Hollywood Village.
